Ash Ecology & Environmental can carry out a flood risk assessment for your proposed development if required by the council. This is done in accordance with “The Planning System and Flood Risk Management Guidelines for Planning Authorities (2009)“.
This assessment takes the form of a Stage 1, 2 and 3 report as required. Typical Stage 3 reports include:
- A detailed site appraisal, including topographic models.
- Investigating the mechanisms of possible flooding at the site.
- Site specific growth curve and design flood calculations.
- 1D and/or 2D hydraulic modelling as required.
- Quantification of 1%, 0.5%, and 0.1% fluvial events, pluvial flood volumes, and appraisal of groundwater flood risk.
- Mitigation measures recommended as required.
- Reports completed as per the OPW guidelines.
